On September 29, 2024, I purchased a Volvo EX40 expecting the 567 km range that was advertised. However, real-world usage does not match what Volvo claims. Despite careful driving and testing across different modes, I barely achieve 250 km on a full charge.
I reported this issue to Volvo, providing detailed logs and driving records, but the service center simply ran a battery check and claimed there was no issue. My concern is not whether the battery is faulty, but that the advertised range is completely misleading. Volvo's response? Silence.
This has caused major financial, time, and psychological distress for my family. We attempted a 1,400 km trip, which should have required 3-4 charges based on Volvo’s claims, yet we had to charge 8 times, spending ₺3,500 instead of the expected ₺2,000. This makes the car no different from a gasoline vehicle in cost and far worse in convenience.
I sent Volvo recorded proof and detailed complaints, yet Volvo Turkey and Volvo Taşdelen Otokoç completely ignored me. I am forced to visit Volvo daily, wasting my time and energy. How can a ₺2.5 million car cause such frustration and disappointment?
This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I demand immediate action from Volvo. If anyone else has experienced similar issues, please reach out. Volvo, fix this or replace my car!
