My Volvo XC40's Compressor Broke, but the Extended Warranty Won't Cover It

I own a 2020 model XC40, and I’m very frustrated. The car has never been in an accident, has no paintwork done, and has been meticulously maintained with all services carried out at an authorized dealer. Plus, I even got the extended warranty thinking it would give me peace of mind. But here’s the kicker—my car’s compressor locked up, which caused the belt to snap. None of this is my fault, yet when I went to claim it under warranty, I was told it’s not covered. I mean, seriously? What’s the point of paying extra for an extended warranty if it doesn’t cover major issues like this? It’s utterly disappointing. I trusted this brand, but now I’m left wondering why I even bothered. This experience makes me question the reliability of their warranty and the overall quality of the car.
