On October 20, 2025, I took my Volkswagen Golf (license plate 3SCSC633) to the authorized service center and reported that the driver’s seat belt had frayed at the point where it connects to the buckle. However, the service center claimed that the belt had been “fastened from behind,” labeled it as user error, and refused to cover it under warranty. I have always used the seat belt properly and believe this issue stems from a manufacturing defect. Furthermore, other car brands repair or replace seat belts in similar situations, while Volkswagen denies responsibility by calling it user error. I request that this issue be re-evaluated and resolved under warranty.
