As my Vodafone contract is almost up, their customer service reps reached out to me. I told them that I was planning to switch to another provider because I could get 20 GB of data for 169 TL. The Vodafone representative tried to keep me as a customer by offering 20 GB of internet specifically for social media. They said it would only add 185.86 TL to my bill. I asked them specifically if this 20 GB would be a gift for 12 months, and they kept saying, "Yes." After the switch, during the first month, I was given the 20 GB of data that was promised specifically for social media usage. But the next month, it vanished. I called customer service and they said they don't have any record of that offer. I was annoyed, so I asked to listen to the recorded phone calls. Today, they said they reviewed it and claimed they tried calling me nine times but couldn't reach me, which is a complete lie. Basically, Vodafone tricks you by offering two months of "gift" internet, but then conveniently claims they never made that offer. If I change to T** right now, they will charge me extra fees. And if I decide to leave Vodafone, I will be required to pay a penalty. If you can escape from Vodafone sooner, you'll be in a better position.
