I Applied for a Dutch Visa at VFS Global and Haven’t Received My Passport in 52 Days

On March 18, 2025, I applied for a Dutch business visa through VFS Global Beyoğlu as part of a group of six people. Within two weeks, five members of the group received their approved visas and passports back. But today is May 8, and I’m still waiting—52 calendar days later—with no explanation from VFS or the consulate.
They keep telling me, “Your passport is still being processed at the consulate,” but that’s all I’ve heard for weeks. No specific reason, no progress updates—just silence. It makes no sense that a group application would be split like this. Due to this delay, we’ve already had to cancel our planned trip to the Netherlands at the end of May, losing money on hotel bookings and flight tickets.
It doesn’t stop there. I also have important travel scheduled for Dubai in mid-May, and the only solution I’ve been offered is to temporarily retrieve my passport for a “quick in-and-out”—a completely unfeasible and risky suggestion. What’s worse, I can’t even apply for my China visa in June because I still don’t have my passport.
This situation has caused serious financial loss and emotional stress, and I’ve received zero accountability or communication from your side. There is no valid reason why I should still be waiting when the rest of my group received their documents weeks ago.
