A glass teapot was sent to me as a recycled product by Vestel customer service, and no fee was charged. Thanks to Vestel and the authorities.

I experienced a problem with my Vestel Mini Taze filter coffee maker when the glass carafe broke. Upon contacting customer service, I was advised to get in touch with the authorized service centers nearby. Regrettably, additional help was not offered. I’ve looked around, but I can’t find this product anywhere. I selected Vestel as it is a homegrown brand, confident that it would deliver dependable products and service. Yet, when I find myself struggling to locate spare parts or obtain adequate support, it leads me to reconsider the worth of backing local brands. I anticipated a higher level of service from Vestel, particularly regarding the resolution of straightforward matters such as obtaining spare parts for their products. I would appreciate a quick resolution for replacing the carafe.

The Vestel customer representative contacted me and asked me to request the teapot from the authorized service in my district. I went and requested it, and they got back to me saying that the product was available in the factory and they could supply it. When I asked for the price, I was told it was 1550 TL. A friend from the Vestel headquarters who called me said he would try to help with the product's price if it was under warranty, but no assistance was provided since it was user-caused. I had already bought the product with the machine for around 1500 lira a year ago. I really see a glass teapot being 1550 lira as an injustice to the customer. While teapots of other foreign brands are sold around 750, we chose Vestel as a local company, but we really regret our purchase. I see trying to encourage citizens to buy local products with the slogan of supporting local brands and then selling spare parts above their value as an injustice to the consumer. Buying Vestel products again? Never...
