Toshiba TV Missing Mounting Screws and Poor Customer Service By Vestel
I purchased a Toshiba 65UA3E63DT 65" 4K Ultra HD Android Smart LED TV, which is under Vestel warranty, on January 13, 2024. The installation was completed within a week by Dicle BTS in Izmir Buca, a service provider for Vestel and many other companies. I already had a wall mount, but because the TV was large, I bought another suitable one. However, I was informed that my existing mount was sufficient. Since I was at work, I checked the setup later at home. When I went to put the box away, I noticed the mounting screws were missing. Despite being wall-mounted, I wanted the screws for future use. I spoke with the service team and customer service three times each, but they kept telling me that the screws might not be included and that they would ask the installers and arrange to leave them at my address. I reported this to Vestel customer service as well. They assured me twice that they had spoken with the service team and would resolve the issue. However, on June 11, 2024, they called to say the TV stand screws were used for the wall mount and that I could purchase additional screws from the service team.
I'm frustrated with the time-wasting tactics of the service team and customer service. The mounting screws, which should be standard, were not provided. While it may seem like a minor issue, the main problem is the attitude of Vestel and their contracted service provider. I'm dissatisfied with both.
