VakıfBank ATM Swallowed My ₺9000 Deposit and Hasn't Returned It After 3 Days
On 16.09.2024, I deposited approximately ₺9,000 into a VakıfBank ATM, but due to an ATM malfunction, the machine swallowed my money. Despite filing a report at the same time, my money has not been credited to my account for 3 days. I’ve been waiting for my money to be returned for days. If someone steals your money on the street, legal action is taken, but the bank has seized my money without my consent and hasn't returned it for 3 days. What kind of service is this? Are you going to resolve my issue? You've been using my money for 3 days—will you compensate me for the loss? Is it my fault that your ATM is broken? By what right do you hold on to my ₺9-10,000 for days? I can’t send money to the places I need to, my business is suffering. Is there no one responsible for this? In 3-5 days, you’ll return my money and walk away without saying anything, right? I’m stopping all business with VakıfBank and will no longer work with them. How can a bank take 3-4 days to credit my money? When I called customer service, they said the legal period is 20 business days. What law allows you to hold my money, which you took without permission, for 20 business days? Which article of which law says this? Why do I have to wait 20 days for money that belongs to me, just because of your mistake? This is a simple task: you open the ATM, retrieve the stuck money, and credit it to my account the next day. Why have I been waiting for days?
