Garanti BBVA Bank ATM Swallows ₺35,250! Bank Only Returns ₺10,250
On March 28, 2024, I had a total of ₺35,250 in cash with me. I attempted to deposit some of the money into an ATM, but the machine malfunctioned and jammed my money. I immediately contacted the bank's customer service, informing them of the exact amount (₺35,250) I had inserted. They created a case for further investigation.
Later, I tried to deposit the remaining cash into the same ATM, but the machine again malfunctioned, swallowing all my remaining money. Desperate, I contacted customer service once more, reiterating the total amount (₺35,250) that the ATM had taken. Another case was opened.
On April 2, 2024, I was informed that the ATM had been investigated and ₺5,600 had been credited to my account. I immediately alerted the bank that this was incorrect, as the total amount was ₺35,250. They created yet another case, but my subsequent inquiries resulted in negative responses.
On April 19, 2024, another ₺4,650 was deposited into my account. I contacted the bank again, but the response remained negative. It is baffling that despite an ATM inspection, the remaining ₺25,000 has not been refunded.
I have repeatedly contacted customer service, creating multiple cases, only to receive inconsistent information and frustratingly, no resolution. The CCTV footage clearly shows the amount I inserted (₺35,250), yet the bank is only willing to acknowledge a fraction of that amount.
When I visited the bank branch, they dismissed my concerns, stating that the ATM is independently operated and they cannot assist me. This leaves me feeling helpless and victimized. I have lost a significant amount of money, ruined my holiday plans, and even strained my relationship with my family due to this financial setback.
I am deeply disappointed by the bank's inadequate handling of this situation and the lack of accountability. I am determined to seek justice and reclaim my rightful ₺25,000. I will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Rights Protection Agency tomorrow.
I said my payment is complete, but it still hasn't been deposited. It was supposed to be deposited on Friday. I called, and they said it would be deposited, but it still hasn't been. They are supposed to deposit 24,950, but it still hasn't been deposited.
