UPS Refused to Expedite Shipment Despite Close Location
I would like to share the inconvenience I experienced with a shipment handled by UPS. My package, sent from Ankara to the Sarayköy district of Denizli with tracking number 1Z1A85X76819343870, arrived in Denizli on March 6. However, I was informed that the delivery would not be made until March 13. Despite the distance between Denizli and Sarayköy being only about 12 miles (20 km), I was told that they strictly follow their own distribution schedule and would not expedite the process.
During this time, I also contacted UPS customer service, but I received only standard, scripted responses with no real solution. It felt like I was being stalled. Waiting over a week for delivery over such a short distance is unacceptable for a basic service like shipping.
My primary request is for this shipment to be delivered as soon as possible without unnecessary delays. Additionally, I expect UPS to review its distribution policies to prevent similar situations in the future, especially ensuring that shipments arriving at a city center are dispatched to nearby districts within a reasonable timeframe.
