Wrongfully Accused Of Gender Searching

On Saturday, while I was using Umingle on my iOS phone via the website, my account was suddenly banned with the reason stated as “Gender Searching.” At that moment, I was in a conversation with a stranger, and we were talking about how some people on Umingle behave in a strange way. In that specific context, I mentioned that there are users who ask for gender in a certain format and gave an example message: “are you a g or b?”. Immediately after this message, my account was banned. When I now try to access my account, I see a screen stating that I am banned for “Gender Searching,” showing a Ban ID of 2fac5b5c and only offering an “Instant Unban” option if I pay ₱149 by credit card. I did not search for or ask anyone’s gender in a way that violates the rules; I only described the kind of messages I had previously seen on the platform as part of a discussion about user behavior. Because of this, I believe the ban is unjustified and that the moderation system has been misapplied in my case. I kindly request that my account be unbanned without any payment requirement, that the “Gender Searching” ban record associated with Ban ID 2fac5b5c be removed from my profile, and that the moderation team carefully review this incident. I also ask that you ensure users are not punished for simply describing problematic behavior they encounter on Umingle, so that similar unfair bans do not happen in the future.
