Umingle Wrongly Banned Me as Underage and Demands Unban Fee
I am writing about an unfair ban I received on the Umingle platform, which I access from my laptop through their website. On May 19, I was suddenly blocked from using the service, and a message appeared saying I am under 18 years old. This is incorrect, because I am 20 years old and therefore above the minimum age requirement. Before this issue, I was able to use Umingle normally without any username being created or shown for me, and I could enter the video and chat sections without a problem. After the ban, I am no longer able to access the chat or video features. Each time I try to log in, a screen appears asking me to pay $9.99 for an “instant unban” even though I did nothing wrong and did not violate any rules to my knowledge. I find it very unreasonable that I am being asked to pay to remove a ban that appears to be based only on an incorrect age assumption. My government ID is currently expired, and I am in the process of obtaining a new ID, which has been difficult because the office handling IDs has not yet issued the new one. Because of this, I cannot complete any additional ID checks that might be requested at the moment. However, I still want to make it clear that I am 20 years old and not a minor, and I was using the platform only to chat. I have already tried to contact Umingle support, but I have not received any response so far. I kindly request that my account access be restored without requiring a $9.99 payment and that the age-related ban be removed. I also ask that you review why I was flagged as under 18 and correct this error, and that you respond to my support attempts so that this situation can be resolved fairly.
