Umingle Banning Me Over A Misunderstanding
I am writing about my Umingle account being unfairly banned for “Gender Searching.” A few minutes ago, during a normal chat, the stranger I was matched with typed “m” to indicate that he is male, and I replied with “f” to indicate that I am female. On Umingle this is a very common and practical way to start a conversation, so both sides know how to interact respectfully. Right after this brief exchange, my account was suddenly banned with the reason shown as “Gender Searching.” I did not use the platform to search for a specific gender or to violate any rules; I only answered the other person’s gender shorthand with my own, in a neutral and non-harmful way. This seems to be a misunderstanding or an overly strict automatic moderation decision rather than an actual policy violation. The ban screen also offers an “Instant Unban” option for 39,900 Rp, which I find very unfair when the ban itself is based on such a minor and innocent interaction. I kindly request that you urgently review the chat where this happened, lift the ban on my account as soon as possible, and remove any record suggesting that I was gender searching, since this does not reflect what actually happened.
