Uber Taxi in Istanbul Charged Twice for Same Ride, Refund Requested

On September 26, 2025, around 2:30 PM, I arranged an Uber Taxi ride in Istanbul for my parents. At the end of the trip, although the taximeter fare was ₺885, the driver charged my parents ₺926 through a POS device with their credit card. Since they were not familiar with the system, they followed the driver’s instructions and made the payment. At the same time, the same ride was also charged to my Uber account card for ₺885. This means we ended up paying twice for the same ride.

I contacted Uber about this issue, but they only offered me a ₺500 credit. The total overcharge is much higher than that, and I am requesting a direct refund to my card, not app credit. In addition, Uber’s lack of proper communication channels in such cases makes the situation even more frustrating, as it’s impossible to reach anyone for real support.

I have all the ride details, credit card statements, and screenshots of the payments as proof. I request a full refund of the extra charges directly to my card.
