We Missed Our Turkish Airlines Flight Due to Staff Misguidance

On 08.07.2024, we entered the second gate at 7:20 AM for our 8:20 AM flight. Due to misguidance by the staff, we lost time but still managed to get in line at the baggage area by 7:33 AM. There were 8 or 10 people ahead of us, most of whom were for later flights. We requested priority from the security and staff, but they did not assist us. We were told to get in line, and then they closed the baggage drop 45 minutes before the flight, refusing to let us board. They informed us that our tickets were forfeited. Turkish Airlines neither acknowledged their negligence nor offered any assistance. Passengers with limited time should be given priority. One staff member even rudely suggested we take a bus next time. We chose to fly to save time. As a result, the ticket cost for two children and one adult was lost. We requested a refund, but they directed us to the Obilet website. When we contacted Obilet, they told us to call Turkish Airlines. We were left stranded with no resolution.

They did not help in any way, they neither called nor offered a different solution. My complaint was definitely not resolved, and I was greatly wronged. I am a father of two children working for minimum wage. If Turkish Airlines has stooped to unjustly taking this money, I have nothing more to say.
