Obilet and Turkish Airlines - Missed Flight Due to Misinformation
On 08.08.2024, we had a flight at 8:20 AM. We entered the second gate at 7:20 AM. Due to the incorrect guidance of the staff there, we lost time, but still, we got in line at the baggage area at 7:33 AM. There were about 8 to 10 people, most of whom were for later flights. We asked the security and staff there to prioritize us, but they did not help. They told us to get in line and then said that the baggage check-in was closed 45 minutes before the flight, so they did not take us. They said our ticket was void. Turkish Airlines neither acknowledged their mistakes nor helped us in any way. They should have assisted passengers with limited time. The staff's comment, 'take a bus next time,' was also highly disrespectful. We choose to fly to save time. As a result, the ticket cost for two children and one adult was lost. We requested a refund, but they did not comply. They directed us to the Obilet website. We contacted them, and Obilet told us to call Turkish Airlines. In the end, we were left stranded with our grievance.
