Turkish Airlines Return Ticket Requirement Issue

Turkish Airlines is enforcing a return ticket requirement for Brazil, a country that allows visa-free entry for 3 months, right at Istanbul Airport. Typically, such checks are conducted by countries at their own borders. Up to this point, everything is normal. However, Turkish Airlines has some conditions that are not mentioned at all when purchasing a ticket (there is not even a small warning when buying a one-way ticket from the website):
- The return ticket must be directly to Turkey, not just leaving the country!
- The return ticket must be purchased from Turkish Airlines!
- The return ticket cannot be flexible in case of cancellation (on July 12, a Turkish family was not allowed to board the flight to Brazil solely for this reason).
And reportedly, this practice applies to all Latin American countries. A large company like Turkish Airlines, which frequently uses the concepts of homeland and nation, has resorted to this kind of cheap tactic just to sell more tickets.
