Turkish Airlines Insurance Department's Lack of Response
I traveled with Turkish Airlines on October 31, 2023, from Edinburgh to Istanbul. They broke my suitcase. For 10 months, they have promised to compensate me for the broken suitcase. I have called customer service multiple times and written numerous messages. The response is always the same: 'We have forwarded it to the insurance department, they will get back to you.'
The last time I wrote was on May 7, 2024. They informed me that the insurance department had made the payment and my case was closed. Based on this message, I asked them to send me the payment receipt if they claimed to have paid. No response at all. They don't even feel the need to get back to me. I paid £500 for the ticket. My suitcase is broken, and I am left in a difficult situation. I came to Turkey on June 13, 2024. I called again and got the same response: the insurance will get back to me. I am living the phrase 'being humiliated with my own money' to the fullest. Turkish Airlines insurance department is a disgrace! Zero work ethic!
