Turkish Airlines Flight and Service Disruption Compensation Request

On 01.10.2023, we had a scheduled trip to Egypt via THY. Despite our ticket being for 22:05, we were informed that the flight was overbooked by 50% and there were no available seats. They offered to send us on the next day's flight. At the Istanbul Airport ticket sales office, we insisted that we could not accept this as we had purchased our tickets in July and had hotel reservations in Egypt. Despite our persistent discussions, they eventually sent us on the 01:40 flight, and since we couldn't fly at the scheduled time, they provided us with a document stating that we would be compensated EUR 200. They informed us where to collect the payment. However, when we approached the counter, we were told there was no cash available and that we should collect it on our return. We faced the same issue upon our return. We were asked to open a feedback request and submit a refund claim, which we did on 07.10.2023. After some time, we received no response and were told that there were missing documents. We completed and uploaded the required documents, creating a new feedback code, and the process restarted. As of 17.10.2023 and today, 30.10.2023, we still have not received any response. I contacted THY customer service and was informed that the process is still pending. What kind of management is this? THY, the largest airline in Turkey, couldn't process a simple payment, and we were stranded at the airport for hours. Compensation should be provided for the inconvenience we suffered. It has been almost a month, and there has been no response or payment. I urgently request that the authorities prioritize this matter and resolve my grievance.
