Turkish Airlines Did Not Pay My €100 Compensation
About six months ago, I was told I would receive €100 in compensation because my ticket was sold to someone else. They said this compensation would be paid within a year. Today, when I went to their main office in Taksim, I was told 'we don't have cash' for the payment. I traveled several kilometers with my two-year-old child, and this is the response I got: 'We don't have cash, and we don't know when it will arrive, we can do an EFT to your account,' they said. So, when will you do it? 'It will be done within fifteen days,' they said. Turkish Airlines, do you not have ₺3,300? It's really funny. Also, on the form you had me sign, it says ₺3,016.00; does €100 currently equal ₺3,016.00? If you had paid me in euros, would I have exchanged it for ₺3,016.00 today? It seems like you are trying to get away with whatever you can. First, send some money to your main office, have it in the cash register; ₺50,000 or ₺100,000, trust your employees, they won't do anything wrong. For heaven's sake, how did I get into this situation? Will you immediately send me ₺3,330? You should send the current value of €100.
