Hello, on June 15, 2024, at 01:55 AM, my TK181 flight from Istanbul to Mexico City was canceled by Gözen Security. After checking in, I arrived at the boarding gate area to find the Gözen team present. They segregated Turkish passport holders to the left, allowing others direct entry to the lounge on the right. Staff questioned our reasons for traveling. I explained I work at a leading alcohol company in Istanbul and was traveling to Jalisco for a tequila factory visit with a confirmed return ticket, e-visa, $2500 cash, and a paid hotel reservation. Despite this, my ticket was canceled without valid explanation, citing a denial from the other side. When I requested documentation, I was told to obtain it from the Mexican consulate, where they confirmed no such procedures exist. Gözen Security and Turkish Airlines canceled my ticket without inspecting my passport or documents. I intend to initiate legal proceedings against them promptly.
