My spouse and child flew with THY on the ADA-EDO route, and their luggage was forgotten. Despite spending a night without any belongings, we did not make any claims to THY. The next day, upon learning that our luggage had arrived (and knowing that there would be no cargo delivery during the holiday), we decided to go to the airport. However, as taxis were demanding fees between 2000-2500₺, and to avoid unnecessary expenses for THY, we asked an acquaintance to take us to the airport, where we collected our luggage. Thankfully, they helped us for a modest fee of 500₺. Subsequently, we provided feedback for this small amount. Despite explaining the situation each time and mentioning that we did not have any documents/receipts, no assistance was provided, and our case was closed. It seems that if we had shopped for the night we spent without belongings and sent the receipts along with the taxi receipt to THY, we could have easily claimed an amount close to 4-5k₺. Even though we considered them, our current situation is that the amount we paid has halved due to inflation, and we couldn't even get that back. I felt the need to share this situation so that everyone reading this can see how THY treats its customers regarding rights and fairness.
