Issue with Flying with My Pet on Turkish Airlines Flights

I have been flying with my pet for 2-3 years. I always preferred double seats (with legroom). I have never flown in a standard triple seat. In my last 3 flights, I have been experiencing problems. When I book a double seat for my cat, the system does not accept it. However, at the airport, it gets approved, and my cat can fly with me in the double seat.

I have had about 10-15 rounds of feedback exchanges with THY through their feedback form, and they only send me the rules. As someone who has been flying with my cat for 2-3 years, I already know the rules. There is no solution. Despite our correspondence, my cat flew with me in the double seat, and I even sent a visual proof. Yet, the response I received was: 'We would like to inform you that passengers who purchase the right to carry pets through online channels are required to sit in a standard window seat.'

Where in the pet transport rules does it say that pets can only fly in standard seats? Moreover, if such a new system has started, why do I face issues when booking tickets online, but get approval at the airport and my cat can fly with me in a non-standard double seat? Additionally, I asked the airport staff during my 3 round trips if the system had changed and why the system does not approve when I select a double seat for my cat. All the staff said they were unaware of any such change. And yet, I get approval and fly with my cat.

If there is a rule as written to me in the system (which there is no such sentence in the rules), how can the airport staff approve it? I have written to the THY feedback form multiple times, but there is never a solution. If I want to fly with my cat, do I have to fly in a triple seat?

Why can't I use my right to purchase the seat I am entitled to when flying with my cat? I know my animal rights and my own rights, and I will pursue all my rights in this matter.

Hello, as I have previously complained, I was unable to take my April 17 Merzifon-Istanbul flight because the THY employee did not approve my cat's carrier. The lady's tone and attitude were very aggressive and inappropriate. On April 19, I bought a new carrier for my cat and went to the airport again. I bought a ticket for the same flight route. My seat number was 9A. When I arrived at Merzifon Airport, they told me my seat was 26A. How can this be? When I said my seat was 9A, they said there was nothing they could do and issued me a ticket for seat 26A. The same THY employee who spoke to me rudely on April 17 was also there. She looked at me without taking her eyes off and smirked sarcastically when they gave me the ticket for seat 26A. How can this be? 1) Why did the "overly rule-abiding team" and especially the lady who measured my cat's carrier on April 17 not measure the new carrier's dimensions? 2) After the tension on April 17 and my complaints to the necessary authorities, is the change of my seat number on my April 19 flight a coincidence or a deliberate act against me? 3) Is the change of seat number based on initiative or is it according to the system? 4) Which ethical rules and human rights allow the lady to smirk sarcastically while looking at me? 5) As someone who has not preferred any airline other than THY for years and always paid to choose my seat, how do you evaluate these situations? I am complaining about the victimization I experienced and all the financial and moral damages. I request that necessary actions be taken against the lady and all Merzifon Airport employees who did not provide any solution and acted deliberately.
