Trivago Hotel Reservation Not Sent to Hotel and Refund Still Not Processed

On August 23, I made a holiday reservation through the Trivago website and paid for 3 nights in advance. My stay was supposed to begin on Tuesday, August 26. However, when I arrived at the hotel for check-in, I was told that they had not received any reservation information. When I checked the confirmation email I received, I noticed there was no contact number, so I reported the issue via their email address. In their reply, they claimed they had informed me of a problem, even though they had never notified me. I requested a refund of the reservation fee, but it has still not been processed. I want my grievance resolved immediately.
