Arriving at Rixos Sungate Hotel in Antalya Beldibi on July 20 for a one-night stay to celebrate our anniversary, we expected special attention, as conveyed through the travel agency. Regrettably, no such gestures were made. Wrestling with the stroller proved challenging each time, as it couldn't be wheeled into the room, a significant inconvenience with three children.
A disturbing incident unfolded at sea, involving our children and hotel staff. While the kids played in the water, we were shot in the face with a water cannon. It took a whopping 30 minutes for someone to arrive after my mother sought a first aid kit and called emergency services.
The air conditioning situation was a complete disaster, leaving us feeling roasted. Strangely, men without shirts were not allowed in the hotel, despite it being a family-friendly establishment. Although the food was good, some staff members were unfriendly, adding to the frustration.
The hotel did offer commendable services for children, with a designated area prohibiting smoking and alcohol, a positive aspect. However, the real surprise awaited us at checkout. Despite not consuming any chocolates, we were charged 672 TL for supposedly eating two. While we came as three families, utilizing three rooms, these issues are impossible to overlook, and we won't be recommending it to anyone.
