Samsung 50CU8000 Smart Remote Not Working – Free Replacement Request

July 21 5:00 PM1

I own a Samsung 50CU8000 television that I purchased about two and a half years ago for 18,800 TL. The smart remote control of this TV only works when it is connected by cable and does not function wirelessly at all anymore. In other words, the moment I unplug it, the remote completely stops working. I contacted Samsung customer service and explained that it is not normal for a smart remote to fail like this in such a short period of time and that this is a defective product. I clearly stated that I consider this a production-related fault and not normal wear and tear. Despite this, I was told that the remote could only be replaced for a fee because the warranty of the TV expired about six months ago. I find it unfair that I am being asked to pay again for a product that I already bought with my own money and that I believe is defective by nature. A remote control that becomes unusable after two and a half years of normal use cannot be considered acceptable, and I do not think this situation is compatible with consumer rights and the expected durability of the product. I request that the defective smart remote of my Samsung 50CU8000 television be replaced free of charge and that this unfair practice of offering only paid replacement despite a clear defect be reviewed and resolved in my favor.
