I purchased a cell phone from Trendyol, a platform I've used many times before without problems. However, this time there was an issue. For order 867261292, the return with code 8405 was rejected by the seller. Trendyol initiated a 21-day technical service inspection period, but the phone has serious issues: the touch screen doesn’t work, it makes random noises, it won’t turn on or off properly, and it’s completely unresponsive. Despite returning the faulty phone, the seller rejected the return without any valid reason, claiming the package was damaged, or that I had activated the accessibility mode by mistake, which I did not.
Trendyol seems to side with the seller, giving them 21 days for inspection and making me wait with no resolution. They claim there are no returns for technological items, leaving me stuck with a defective phone. Despite contacting them twice, they continue to support the seller, who falsely claims that the package was opened or delivered when it wasn’t. How do I know this phone wasn't resold and sent back to me? Where are the consumer rights protections here?
I refuse to accept this defective product, and I want my money back. If necessary, I will escalate this to Consumer Rights. It’s unacceptable that Trendyol offers such privileges to sellers, leaving customers like me to suffer. I demand a resolution and a refund for this faulty product. We don’t make money easily, and nobody should be expected to accept a defective product just because the package was opened. I bought a new phone, and I expect to receive one in perfect condition. Trendyol needs to take responsibility and resolve this issue immediately.
