Toyota Used a Different Engine Oil on My CHR Without Informing Me at Service

Today, I took my Toyota C-HR to the authorized service center for its 50,000 km maintenance. Until now, they had always used original Toyota engine oil. But for some reason, this time they didn’t use the usual Toyota original oil. Instead, without informing me, they used Petrol Ofisi Pro 5W-30 oil. Even the maintenance tag they attached to my keychain says “Toyota Original Motor Oil” on the cover. Not that it matters much—they didn’t even bother to fill out the card, it’s completely blank. I called and asked, “Why did this happen?” They said, “We have an agreement with Petrol Ofisi.” We pay a premium just to have everything done properly and with original parts. Is this what we get in return? The front pads and discs were also changed, and I paid ₺12,000. Now I’m left wondering who else they might have made deals with. Am I supposed to double-check everything from now on? Unfortunately, yes. This is truly disappointing. Not everything is about money. Was it really worth losing customer trust just to make a bit more profit? I will report this situation to the relevant authorities, especially so that others don’t go through the same experience.
