Toyota Dealership Tries to Deliver New C-HR With Multiple Scratches
On January 24, 2026, I went to take delivery of my 2026 Toyota C-HR from the Bursa Toyota Plaza Çavdarlı dealership, after having completed all payments in full. During my inspection at the time of delivery, I discovered that the vehicle was being handed over to me with scratches in more than 10 different areas.
Severity of the Situation:
Scandalous Admission by the Dealership: The Sales Manager made an unethical statement by saying, “If I wanted to, I could have hidden these defects and you wouldn’t have noticed,” instead of properly documenting the damage.
Unauthorized Intervention: When I left the vehicle for inspection, the dealership applied a “ceramic coating” over the scratches without my consent, attempting to chemically conceal the defects rather than resolve them properly.
Silence from Toyota Turkey: After days of silence, Toyota Turkey attempted to close the case without conducting any inspection or investigation.
I have formally escalated this issue to Toyota Japan Headquarters and the Presidential Office (Case No: tme-0000009775). Until my grievance is fully resolved, I will pursue all legal and international remedies available to me.
