Temu’s so-called “free gift” promotion is nothing but a deceptive ploy to increase their user base. They constantly push countdowns like “you’re this close to winning” or “just one more step,” luring you in with false promises. I spent an entire day sharing my invite link with all my contacts, believing I would actually receive a gift.
At first, the numbers go up fast. But as soon as I was close—just ₺1 away—the system suddenly shifted to a tiny coin-by-coin progression. Then it demanded I invite more “new users,” even though the people I had already invited had never even heard of Temu before. Somehow, the app pretended they had already used it.
This isn’t just disappointing—it’s manipulative. The closer you get, the more impossible it becomes to actually claim the gift. I now see this entire feature is designed solely to boost Temu’s customer count by misleading users with false hope.
I will never shop from Temu again and strongly urge others to stay away. It’s all smoke and mirrors—good at grabbing your attention, terrible at delivering results. These tactics should be boycotted, not rewarded. Temu, stop playing games with your customers.
