I Got Tricked by Temu’s Free Gift App—Invites Keep Rising While Coins Keep Dropping

Temu’s so-called “4 Free Gifts” app is nothing but a complete scam. At first, they make it seem easy—you just need to invite a few friends to unlock the gifts. It starts off asking for 1 or 2 invites, but quickly jumps to 10, 15, and even 20 people. The worst part? The coin rewards they give you shrink dramatically the more you play. Initially, you get a good amount, but suddenly you’re stuck earning coins like 0.0008 or even less for each friend invited.
This system is clearly designed to keep users chasing an impossible goal while Temu benefits from all the shared invites. It’s misleading, frustrating, and an absolute waste of time. I’m writing this to warn others—don’t waste your energy or bother your friends with this trap. Temu, stop exploiting your users with deceptive promotions. Either deliver what you promise or remove this feature entirely.

When I tried to shop on Temu, I saw a promotion promising a “free gift” if I invited friends.
