Unacceptable Delivery Practice - Courier Withheld Package, Threatened Me

A package that was supposed to be delivered to me by Sürat Kargo’s Bitlis Merkez branch was not delivered because the courier claimed there was “traffic.” I explained to him that I had experienced a similar issue before, that the package must be delivered to my address, and that problems like traffic are the responsibility of the shipping company, not the customer. In response, the courier said, “I can’t walk,” and refused to deliver it. He then threatened me by saying, “Then I won’t deliver any of your future packages either, and I’ll mark your address as undeliverable.” This behavior is unacceptable both in terms of duty neglect and communication with customers. I request that disciplinary action be initiated against this courier. Furthermore, he abused his delivery responsibility by holding my package for 12 days without legal justification and without making any attempt to deliver it. This is more than a service failure—it’s a misuse of duty and a disregard for valid consumer rights. Despite filing two complaints with Sürat Kargo’s customer service during this time, no effective action was taken, and the issue continued. In the end, even when I instructed, “Leave it at the most convenient location,” the courier refused and initiated a return. This entire process constitutes a breach of the shipping agreement. I demand a full investigation into this irresponsible conduct at the corporate level and compensation for both my financial and emotional damages. Not only is the courier responsible, but so are all supervisors involved. The misconduct and abuse of duty were known to the courier’s manager, branch director, regional supervisor, and customer service team, yet none of them intervened. They all allowed the courier to withhold my package for 12 days and return it unjustly. Therefore, my complaint is directed not only at the courier but also at every negligent party in the chain of command. I request a formal investigation and the necessary disciplinary measures be taken across all responsible levels.
