I Regret Booking Sunshine Holiday Resort via Jolly Tur—Room Was Filthy

I booked two rooms for five people at Sunshine Holiday Resort through Jolly Tur for a Bayram holiday stay between June 27 and July 1, 2023 (reservation numbers HD-2305EPBD and HD-2305APNC). I made the booking 1.5 months in advance, yet when we arrived at noon, we were told to wait. We didn’t get our rooms until 2:30 p.m., and during that time, the staff were dismissive, uninterested, and unprofessional.

When we finally got to the room, it was filthy. The trash hadn’t been emptied, and the towels were visibly dirty. Despite being an all-inclusive hotel, the only alcohol available was in unlabeled 4ml Royal bottles without an official tax seal—which made us too hesitant to drink it.

We booked this hotel mainly for the waterslides, but it turns out they only operate twice a day for one hour each—highly misleading. The beach is 5 km away, and while there’s a shuttle, it drops you at a beach that charges ₺100 per person just to enter.

Dinner ends at 9:00 p.m., and at 9:15, the staff literally shut off all the lights while people were still eating. Internet doesn’t work in the rooms. The staff are inattentive and act rudely, and I was left completely embarrassed in front of my family after traveling 600 km for what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday.

If I had other options during Bayram, I would’ve left immediately. Instead, I stayed tense and frustrated the entire time. Jolly Tur let me down by selling this hotel. I feel like I threw my money away and wasted a holiday I’d been looking forward to for months. I expect a formal apology and proper compensation for this unacceptable experience.
