SunExpress Denied Boarding Despite Valid Ticket – Refund Still Unpaid After Consumer Decision

On May 23, 2024, I arrived at the Frankfurt airport to board my SunExpress flight to Ankara. Despite having a valid ticket, SunExpress refused to let me board. To continue my journey, I had to purchase new tickets from Frankfurt to Izmir, and then from Izmir to Ankara, resulting in an 11-hour delay. To make matters worse, my luggage was lost during this ordeal. I contacted SunExpress, requesting a refund for the additional expenses, but they refused. I then filed a complaint with the Antalya Consumer Arbitration Committee, and on September 26, 2024 (Decision No. 005120240002252), the Committee ruled in my favor, ordering SunExpress to reimburse me. Despite this decision, my refund remains unpaid. My next step is to initiate legal enforcement to recover my money.
