I am experiencing ongoing hardship due to a defective vehicle I purchased from Fiat, a brand under Stellantis, which is still in my possession. As of April 18, 2026, I have paid a total of $5,125 for this vehicle. Despite the continuing technical issues and serious safety concerns, the brand has chosen to apply psychological and financial pressure on me instead of providing a proper solution.
During this process, I was provided with a replacement vehicle, which should be considered a standard right and obligation. However, I witnessed the brand turning this support into a tool of pressure and coercion. I was threatened with the withdrawal of the replacement vehicle unless I accepted the return of my original vehicle—one that I do not consider safe—and was effectively forced to use it.
Because I do not trust the safety of this vehicle, I am afraid to drive it, which has caused significant psychological distress. This complaint is not only about the technical defects but also about the brand’s approach of exploiting the consumer’s vulnerable position by using the threat of removing the replacement vehicle instead of offering a fair resolution.
I strongly reject this corporate behavior, which places financial strain on the consumer, restricts my right to safe transportation, and creates psychological pressure. In the interest of transparency and public awareness, I request that this additional grievance—specifically the coercion and threats I experienced—be publicly acknowledged and that the brand’s conduct be formally investigated.
