I Face Citroen Berlingo Warranty Denial After Service Outside Dealer Network

I own a Citroen Berlingo with VIN VR7EDYHZ5RJ857172, which I use for my commercial activities. My vehicle has been sitting at the authorized Citroen Mersa Istanbul service center for approximately 15 days, almost as if it were being held there without resolution. My request to have the current defect repaired under warranty was rejected by the distributor, Stellantis Turkey, based entirely on verbal reasons that I believe are unlawful and unjustified.

The verbal explanation provided to me was that the vehicle’s most recent scheduled maintenance was performed outside the authorized dealer service network. However, under the applicable regulations, having vehicle maintenance performed at a TSE-approved independent service center using equivalent parts does not automatically void the manufacturer’s warranty. In order to deny warranty coverage, the authorized service center should be able to demonstrate through a technical and written report that the current defect was directly caused by that maintenance. Despite this, Citroen Mersa Istanbul has refused to provide me with any written technical report or official document supporting its position.

Keeping my vehicle at the service center under these circumstances has seriously disrupted my commercial activities and caused me financial losses. In addition, I have not been provided with a replacement vehicle, even though I have repeatedly requested one. During my verbal communications with the company, I have only been told that they are “waiting for approval from headquarters,” while no concrete action has been taken and my inconvenience continues to grow each day.

I request that the defect in my vehicle be repaired immediately and free of charge under warranty. I also request that a replacement vehicle be provided to me without further delay because I have been deprived of transportation and my commercial activities have been negatively affected throughout this process. I further request that the warranty denial be reversed and that the effective hold on my vehicle be lifted.

If these requests are not addressed promptly and satisfactorily, I intend to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and all other relevant legal authorities and pursue legal action to recover both my existing and future financial losses.
