Citroën E-C4X Backup Camera Defect Unresolved for 10 Months
I purchased a brand-new Citroën E-C4X from Büyükçekmece Çetaş in February 2024, and just nine days later, the backup camera started malfunctioning. Despite taking the car to the dealership multiple times, they dismissed my concerns with rude and unprofessional behavior, insisting the camera wasn’t defective. Eventually, they replaced the camera but didn’t fix the issue, and on the same day, the malfunction persisted. When I questioned why they replaced the camera if the feature supposedly didn’t exist, they admitted to making a mistake.
Later, I brought the car to Erdemir Bayi, where it was revealed that the camera replacement was done incorrectly, and no approval for proper repairs had been obtained from France. I’ve contacted Citroën customer service over 20 times and Stellantis Turkey twice since April, but the problem remains unresolved. They call me once a week to say the issue is "in progress," but 10 months of delays have made this situation unbearable. My backup camera is still non-functional, and neither Citroën nor Stellantis has taken accountability. The defect is confirmed by experts and different dealerships, yet no action is taken. This feels like a stalling tactic to frustrate customers into giving up. I regret buying a Citroën and demand an immediate resolution.
