I Face SteelSeries Alias Microphone Failure Just 5 Days After Warranty Expired
On May 8, 2026, I purchased a SteelSeries Alias microphone from a MediaMarkt store. Only 5 days after the warranty period had expired, on May 12, 2026, the microphone suddenly stopped working while I was livestreaming and has not responded at all since that moment. I tried using different cables, but the result did not change, and the microphone became completely unusable.
Since this happened during a livestream, my broadcast was interrupted and my work was seriously affected, causing significant inconvenience. The fact that the product failed so soon after the warranty ended has been extremely disappointing and has made me question the product’s quality and durability.
When I contacted the authorized distributor in Turkey, I was told that products outside the warranty period are not repaired and that only paid replacements are available, meaning I would essentially have to purchase the product again. In my opinion, refusing to provide any repair option when the warranty expired only 5 days earlier and not considering customer satisfaction is not an acceptable approach.
For a product that has been out of warranty for such a short period, I request a free repair as a customer satisfaction solution. I want the microphone to be inspected, repaired if possible, and my inconvenience to be properly addressed.
