I own a SteelSeries Stratus Duo controller, and during the warranty period, the left joystick began malfunctioning. Unfortunately, the warranty expired on July 20, 2024, due to ongoing issues trying to reach technical service.
On July 11, 2024, I contacted the service centers listed on the warranty document, but none were able to repair the device, claiming they don’t handle this product. As a result of this back-and-forth, the warranty expired before I could resolve the issue. I then reached out to the importer, Despec Bilgisayar Pazarlama, requesting a paid repair. However, they stated that they don’t provide repair services for out-of-warranty products and instead offered a replacement for ₺2027.58 + VAT. Shockingly, the device was being sold for ₺1668 online at the time.
I emailed them back with these details but received no response. After further attempts to find a repair service, I discovered there was none available for this product. Contacting Despec’s customer service again, I was informed they don’t offer any technical support for out-of-warranty devices.
Despite their marketing claims of being the "best gaming equipment in the world," SteelSeries has failed to deliver adequate post-sale service. Under Consumer Protection Laws, service must be provided for up to 5 years for a product's lifecycle, even if the warranty has expired.
This situation reflects poor customer care and an apparent attempt to overcharge consumers with unjustified fees. I demand a resolution to this issue and will pursue my rights through appropriate legal channels. SteelSeries’ lack of support has convinced me to avoid purchasing their products in the future.
