On June 21st, at 7:10 PM, I visited the mini Starbucks at Çemberlitaş Divanyolu Street No:68 with my friend and our babies. Upon realizing that our coffees were incorrect, I approached the counter to address the issue. To my dismay, I was met with a rude and condescending barista who berated me, saying I didn't understand anything. Another barista noticed the situation and tried to intervene, but somehow thought I had used offensive language towards them, even though it had nothing to do with the situation. Their actions truly infuriated me. A heated argument ensued, escalating to the point where they resorted to hurling insults. Later, the store manager approached me while I was holding my baby and aggressively confronted me, hurling insults. Despite expressing concern for my baby's well-being, they ignored me, causing my 15-month-old to start crying in fear. They even exclaimed, "If that's your child, these are my children, get out of here!" and forcefully pushed our strollers. After this, the initially angered barista threatened us with explicit language and attempted to physically harm us, including our babies. Subsequently, we called the police, and we were thankfully rescued by a few sensible and composed baristas in the store. Everything was captured clearly on the security camera footage. We are determined to file a formal complaint, and if the investigation does not result in a satisfactory outcome, we will seek justice through the legal system.
