Stanley Refused Lifetime Warranty for Product Sold by Amazon

About three years ago, I purchased a Stanley Classic Trigger Action 0.59 L green travel mug from Amazon, where Amazon itself was listed as the seller, relying on the product’s lifetime warranty promise. Even though I have used the product no more than 20 times in total, it recently started leaking from the lid area. When I contacted Stanley about this issue approximately two months ago, I was told, “Since the company you mentioned is not within our authorized seller network, we cannot assist you with this matter.” Despite the fact that the seller on Amazon was Amazon itself and the product was sold on a highly reputable platform like Amazon with a lifetime warranty claim, being told that this purchase is not considered valid for warranty purposes is extremely contradictory and damaging to consumer trust. Selling a product with a lifetime warranty promise and then excluding that same product from warranty coverage because of the sales channel directly contradicts both the promise made and the brand’s corporate image, and it unfairly disadvantages the consumer. I request that the lifetime warranty commitment given for this product be honored, that the issue be resolved under warranty, and that my case be re-evaluated based on my purchase order number 407-4635490-2514744.
