I am writing regarding the unfair account suspension and refund issue I experienced on Snapchat. My account, associated with the email address z***@gmail.com, username z***, and also using the name t***, was permanently closed on February 7, 2026, at approximately 8:06 PM without any valid reason. Because I do not speak German, I asked a user who was trying to communicate with me in German to please write in English instead. The person then insulted me and said they would report me, and shortly afterward, my account was shut down.
For a long time, I have experienced my account being locked or restricted even after minor or baseless complaints. Meanwhile, accounts that have threatened me, sent photos with weapons, or shared explicit content have not been suspended. It feels as though the system makes decisions based on whoever reports first, rather than who is actually in the right. This makes me feel unsafe and unfairly treated.
Shortly before my account was closed, I purchased Snapchat Premium for approximately $1 through Ziraat Bank, and I have the invoice for this transaction. Since I no longer have access to my account, I cannot use the Premium service I paid for, and the money I spent has effectively gone to waste.
I cannot find any live support, clear communication channel, or proper appeal process within or outside the app. That is why I am forced to express my grievance here.
I request that my account be reviewed, that the wrongful closure be corrected, that my access be restored, and that the fee I paid for the unused Premium service be refunded to me.
