I purchased a pair of Skechers GOrun Trail Altitude 2.0 waterproof boots from Ayakkabı Dünyası’ online store on November 17, 2025, with order number AD1344582, paying $96 by credit card under the name Sedat Kürüz.
After using the product for a while, I realized on a rainy day that the boots slip on most wet surfaces, including stone-paved sidewalks, asphalt, and flat concrete floors. The grip problem is especially severe on the outer edges of the sole.
Because of this serious safety concern, I delivered the boots to Ayakkabı Dünyası’ Istanbul Göztepe Optimum Mall branch on December 20, 2025, for inspection and requested a refund. On December 29, 2025, I was informed that no defect was found and the boots were returned to me. However, the slipping problem continued exactly the same.
Everyone who tried the boots on made similar comments about how slippery the sole is, yet the inspection team somehow claimed they could not detect any issue.
On January 8, 2026, between 12:55 and 13:00, while wearing these boots, I slipped and fell down the stairs at the exit of the Cihangir Metrobus stop in Avcılar, Istanbul. As a result of this fall, I suffered bruises on my arm and leg.
In my entire life, I have never encountered a shoe sole that is this poor and unsafe. Even some of my summer shoes—including other Skechers models—do not slip on wet surfaces, whereas these boots are extremely slippery, especially around the outer parts of the sole, and clearly pose a serious safety risk.
I do not find the inspection result convincing and believe that this product is unsafe for use on wet ground. I urgently request that both Skechers and Ayakkabı Dünyası accept the product back and issue a full refund.
I also ask that this complaint and the details of the incident be taken seriously. If necessary, security camera footage from the specified time period at the Cihangir Metrobus stop in Avcılar can be reviewed in the event of any legal process.
My product inspection document number is 222200171744.
