A few months ago, I purchased Skechers Arch Fit athletic shoes from the Skechers (Olka) store at Ankara Metromall Mall, specifically because I suffer from neuropathy in my feet and was told that this model was one of the most comfortable options available. At the time of sale, it was clearly stated that the shoes were very comfortable and that I would be supported with an exchange or refund for up to two years if I experienced any problems.
In terms of comfort, I am satisfied; however, the fabric used on the inside of the shoe turned out to be extremely thin and fragile. Within just a few months, which is a relatively short period, the inner lining tore badly, fell apart, and became unusable. This situation does not match at all with the level of comfort and quality that was described to me in the store.
For this reason, I took the shoes back to the store where I purchased them last week, and they were sent for inspection. Today, I received a message stating: “No manufacturing defect was found in the product reviewed under request number 1-551205, and we are unable to provide a positive response to your request.”
I do not find this response fair or convincing, especially for a shoe whose inner lining tore in such a short amount of time. Despite the assurances given during the sale and the claim that this model was suitable for my medical condition, the use of such low-durability interior material has seriously damaged my trust in the brand.
I am not requesting a refund. Instead, I am requesting an exchange, even if it means paying the price difference, for another Skechers athletic shoe model with stronger and higher-quality interior materials. I kindly ask that my complaint be reviewed again and that my grievance be resolved.
