On July 10, 2025, I booked a rental car in Italy through the Yolcu360 app, choosing Sixt for the period August 6–18, 2025. My reservation was made to pick up the car at Venice Airport and return it at Rome Train Station.
At Venice Airport, Sixt presented me with extremely high insurance prices and forced me to choose between three packages. I ended up paying €310 for an insurance package, in addition to a deposit charged to my card.
When I returned the vehicle at Rome Train Station, about 12 hours earlier than the scheduled return time, I was unexpectedly charged an extra €68 tax and a €151.70 premium location fee. However, in my original booking via Yolcu360, all fees and inclusions were clearly stated, and no mention was made of such additional charges.
I filed a complaint via email, but the response I received was unsatisfactory, simply stating that these charges resulted from purchasing insurance. Yet the offer I was shown only listed the insurance cost of €310, and no other additional charges were disclosed at the time of booking.
This is the first time I’ve experienced such an issue, and I find it completely unacceptable. I demand a refund of the unfairly charged fees and a proper explanation from Sixt and Yolcu360.
