Singer HD6605C Needle Jammed Within Warranty Period But Service Demands Extra Fees

On October 9, 2025, I purchased a Singer HD6605C sewing machine online, which remains fully covered under the manufacturer's warranty. On July 28, 2026, while sewing, the needle mechanism jammed, prompting me to take the machine to the Sefaköy Singer Authorized Service Center for inspection.

Upon arrival, the service staff verbally informed me that the machine lacked lubrication and required routine maintenance and oiling, demanding a fee of $33 for the service. When I requested that the issue be evaluated under the terms of the active warranty, the technician insisted that maintenance and lubrication are paid services excluded from warranty coverage. Surprised by this stance and unsure of how warranty policies were being applied, I retrieved my machine without authorizing any paid work.

My objective is to seek immediate clarification regarding my rights as a consumer. Expecting a customer to pay out-of-pocket maintenance fees for a mechanical jam on a low-usage machine that is still under warranty raises serious questions about consumer support practices.

I demand a formal, written statement from Singer Turkey clarifying whether needle assembly jams and basic servicing fall under warranty coverage in this scenario. Furthermore, I request that Singer inspect my machine under standard warranty conditions and complete all necessary repairs free of charge so I can continue using my product without further hardship.
