Siemens Coffee Grinder Fails and Media Markt Offers Only Gift Card

I purchased a Siemens TQ505R09 fully automatic coffee machine on March 1, 2022, from the Media Markt store in Çorlu, Tekirdağ, along with an additional 3-year BNP Paribas insurance policy on top of the 2-year manufacturer’s warranty. On November 24, 2025, the product began having a coffee grinding problem, so I took it back to the store to be repaired under the insurance coverage.
On December 10, 2025, Media Markt informed me that the product could not be repaired and that I would be issued a gift card for $142 (the amount I paid at the time of purchase, converted from 6,041 Turkish lira using the current exchange rate of approximately 1 TRY = $0.0235). Xe
However, when I purchased the machine, I specifically bought the BNP Paribas insurance for situations like this, and as clearly stated in the policy conditions, I request that my product be replaced with a new equivalent unit with the same features instead of receiving a gift card. Despite this, I continue to receive calls and messages insisting that I either accept the gift card or take back my defective machine. I do not want to accept the gift card or the faulty device, and I request a solution consistent with the insurance coverage by providing me with a new equivalent product with the same features.
