Shein Advertised Batteries Included but Delivered None
I ordered a battery charger from Shein South Africa on 20 January under order number GSH15C13R00NG7M, specifically because the product page clearly stated “batteries included.” However, when my parcel arrived, I only received the charger without any batteries. I contacted Shein about the issue and explained that I had selected this particular item because it was advertised with batteries included. Instead of acknowledging the misleading information on the listing, I was told that the batteries were not included and that the item was “defective” and must be returned. In this process, I was effectively blamed, as if I had not read properly, even though the advert was clear that batteries were included. I find this misleading and an example of false advertising. Because I needed to use the charger, I had to buy batteries separately, which I would not have done if the product had matched its description. I am requesting a full refund for this purchase on the basis that the product was advertised incorrectly and the information on the website misled me into choosing this item.
