Unfair Gift Bag Distribution At Sephora Yalıkavak Opening
During the opening event of the Sephora Yalıkavak store in Bodrum on 4 June at around 12:00, it was repeatedly stated by the store employees that the first 250 customers would receive gift bags containing products worth 20,000 TL and that all gift bags would contain the same products. To participate in this campaign, I arrived at the store at 2:00 a.m. and waited in line for approximately 10–12 hours. Despite being among the first 30 people in line, the contents of the gift bag I received at around 1:00 p.m. were completely different from both the products that had been advertised and the products received by other participants. In my assessment, the total value of the products in my bag was nowhere near 20,000 TL and did not even reach 10,000 TL. When I raised this issue with the store employees during the event, I was met with a dismissive and somewhat mocking attitude instead of a helpful and solution-oriented approach. No effort was made to investigate the issue, compare the contents of the bags, or address my concerns, and I left the store feeling both disappointed and misled. It is extremely unfair that customers who waited for many hours based on the promise that all gift bags would contain the same items ultimately received significantly different contents. This situation is misleading and does not reflect the expectations that were clearly created by the campaign. I kindly request that this matter be thoroughly investigated, that the contents of my gift bag be compared with the products that were promised and those distributed to other participants, and that the missing or unequal products be provided to me so that the inconvenience and disappointment I experienced can be remedied.
