My Sennheiser Momentum 4 Touch Controls Fail to Switch Noise Cancellation Modes

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience using the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones. I returned the first pair I purchased because some of the touch controls weren’t working—especially the two-tap function that should switch between noise cancellation and transparency mode. I bought a second pair thinking it was just a one-off issue, but the exact same problem is happening again.

The double-tap gesture works only occasionally and is completely unreliable. Worse, every time I connect the headphones to my phone, the touch controls don’t respond at all until I go into the app and toggle them off and on again. This shouldn’t be necessary with a premium product that promises seamless usability.

It’s incredibly frustrating to have the same issue on two different units. Either there’s a widespread design flaw, or the firmware is seriously unstable. I’m also left wondering if I’m somehow doing something wrong, but I’ve followed all instructions and expected better from a brand like Sennheiser.
